Work Permit


For you, as an international students who wish to work in Taiwan (either on campus or off campus), you are required to apply for and obtain the work permit before starting work. Please note that if you hold a job without applying for the work permit, you may be fined for NT$30,000 to NT$150,000 and ordered to leave the country immediately!

Online work permit application system

The maximum validity period of a work permit is six months. For applications made in the fall semester, the work permit will expire on March 31 of the following year at the latest. For applications made in the spring semester, the work permit will expire on September 30 of the same year at the latest.

Required documents 

  1. NT 100 (complete allocated payment by yourself)

You may transfer the application fee to a post office or pay at the counter of the Workforce Development Agency (WDA).

  1. Photocopy of Passport (personal information page, including your passport extension. visa page)
  2. Photocopy of two-side Student Card (should have registered stamp for current semester)
  3. Photocopy of two-side ARC

These documents should be in PDF and uploaded to the system. After uploading these documents, the school will confirm the application and then send it to the Office of Workforce Development Agency.


Notices

  1. After confirmation with the documents, the work permit will be approved and issued by the Office of Workforce Development Agency, Please come to the OIA within 3-5 days after you receive the system automatic message or email from the Office of Workforce Development Agency.
  2. The office of the Workforce Development Agency will email and inform you of corrections if needed, please pay attention to the required correction period. An extra fee or re-application may be required if you haven’t done the correction before the deadline.
